Mondays & Tuesdays, 8:30am-9:20am (MTU students ONLY)
* Face coverings will be encouraged but not required in the Student Development Complex, MacInnes Student Ice Arena, Gates Tennis Center, Nordic Ski Wax Center, and other Athletic and Recreation facilities.
Open Hockey 2021-2022: September 7, 2021 - March 22, 2022
Schedule subject to change without notice. No student open hockey November 22, 23, December 20, 21, 27, 28, January 3 & 4.
Requirements for Entry
A valid Michigan Tech Student ID
Full hockey equipment is required. No equipment issue, bring your own equipment.
All students must go to the SDC Ticket Office first to tap their ID to verify their current student status. Patrons will receive a dated wristband to put on at the window and then show the Student Manager for admission to the ice (at the visitor's bench).
Ice Arena & Hockey Session Rules
Follow designated traffic patterns and use proper entry/exit doors.Locker room assignments will be available on the lower level of the ice arena for each session.Water bottles and tissue boxes cannot be shared between participants.Properly dated wristband for admission to the ice.No sitting on boards.No throwing objects on ice (ie snowballs).You must have ice skates on at all times when you are on the ice.No food or beverages are allowed on the ice.No abusive or profane language.MTU is not responsible for personal belongings and lost or stolen items.No tobacco (smoked or chew).
Obey the rules or you could lose your skating privileges.
