About the Instructors

Mike Neville

Michael Neville

Mike Neville played four years at Michigan Tech, 2013-2017, serving as a captain for both his junior and senior seasons. After sustaining an injury his senior year, he served as a volunteer assistant coach, 2017-18, working with the penalty kill and assisting the video coach. While coaching, Neville completed a double major, graduating with management and marketing degrees. Once healthy, he began his pro career with the Idaho Steelheads of the East Coast Hockey League in 2017-18. At the beginning of the 2018-19 season, he was traded to the Florida Everblades based out of Fort Myers. Mike spends his summers living in Houghton, enjoying the lake life and giving back to the hockey community. He has worked the summer hockey camp since 2014, spending time in various capacities as a group counselor, on-ice and off-ice coach, and a co-coordinator in 2018. We are thrilled to have him back for 2019 and look forward to his enthusiasm, passion and knowledge that he brings to the MacInnes Student Ice Arena and Michigan Tech's Hockey Camp.
