AIKIDO NANZAN DOJO

HUSKIESFIT COVID PROCEDURES

Registration and payment can be completed online. Participants must sign a waiver of liability prior to participation. The SDC is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Please do not leave valuables unattended.

Aikido is a modern Japanese martial arts training that focuses on the power of body movements and momentum. Rather than punches and kicks, students learn blocking, rolling, locking, and throwing movements to control the force of an opponent. It’s a great way for children and teens to gain confidence, practice focus and concentration, and learn non-violent strategies for self-defense.

The COVID-19 Visitor Symptom Tracking Form is required to be completed before every class session. Masks are required indoors (throughout the building and while exercising but not while participating in the VIP Pavilion). Class size is limited and based on social distancing. Training will have a more individual focus compared to the usual paired/interactive style. Props will be used for both solo and paired practice. These props allow some level of interaction while keeping distance and reducing risky physical contact. There will be an emphasis on solo and paired forms to understand Aikido principles.

SDC Studio/VIP Pavilion at Kearly Stadium
