In this groundbreaking rock musical, the ancient game becomes a metaphor for romantic rivalries, competitive gamesmanship, super-power politics, and international intrigue. From Bangkok to Budapest, the players, lovers, politicians and spies manipulate and are manipulated to the pulse of a monumental score that includes “One Night in Bangkok” and “Heaven Help My Heart.”

ABOUT
Michigan Tech Theatre brings the Keweenaw theatre productions created by students, faculty, and community members through Michigan Tech’s Visual and Performing Arts Department.
Patricia Helsel, Associate Professor of Theatre, is head of Theatre and Electronic Media Performance. Patricia has a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting and Directing from Minnesota State University - Mankato, and a B.A. degree in Theatre and Music, from Elmira College. Patricia has taught Acting, Voice, Dialects, Musical Theatre, Introduction to Theatre, Public Speaking, and Oral Interpretation at Utah State University, The University of Louisiana at Monroe, Northwestern State University, and The Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts. Her professional work includes directing and performance (stage, radio, T.V.). She served as the Artistic Director for the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre, Director and Youth Program Coordinator for Robidoux Resident Theatre, Guest Director for Okoboji Summer Theatre, Director for Northern Utah Theatre Society, and Director/Educator for the Unicorn Children's Theatre.
